Do you remember that phrase? I do. In fact, everyone remembers the phrase. Most people even remember what it meant. Very few, however, remember the significance. It has been dumbed down, and politicized. Worse, there's been an effort to make us forget the incident itself, while still shouting "we will never forget."
Yeah, we will never forget the phrase. But we will forget what it felt like on that day because we've erased it from the media. Most media outlets won't show the planes crashing into the twin towers. Some will tell you it's because it's too painful. Some will tell you it's a conspiracy because the media hates the war in Iraq.
No matter which, we did forget.
It's Too Painful
Damn right it's painful. It really sucks that over 3000 people had to die that day. Oh, but it was our own fault. We asked for it by being involved in middle-eastern affairs. It was our fault for making so many enemies in the world. We deserved for 3000 innocent lives to be taken at random.
Yet, oddly, the animals that perpetrated the crime do NOT deserve the same fate. They clearly asked for it, but we're not allowed to retaliate. The U.S. is a brutal animal that hunts, and kills just for its bloodlust. That's all we stand for. Look at our movies, our streets, our crimes. We are a violent nation.
Just the other day we kidnapped an innocent Iraqi, and beheaded him on live TV. We do that kind of stuff every day. We're animals.
It's a Conspiracy
I'd almost buy this. But not even FoxNEWS will air the footage of that day. Most FoxNEWS anchors, and personalities are in support of the war, and have not forgotten. But they still don't air the planes crashing, or the people jumping from windows and falling to their deaths.
What does the media have to gain by us forgetting? Well, their lobby. They lose the respect of the people most interested in having Americans forget the feeling we had that day. They don't want us to forget the phrase. But if we remember the feeling, we'll be just as angry, and we'll settle the score. And, by God, it's wrong to settle the score. We should turn the other cheek. Remember, it was all our fault.
Will You Give up?
It's all about the oil! That's the whole reason Bush wanted to go to war. He wanted to help his oil rich buddies get even richer! You know, because just having oil makes you richer, right? Of course! Oil magically turns into money. It's the weirdest most magical thing I've ever seen.
A lot of idiots believe that, it seems. Of course it doesn't magically turn into money. Those oil rich buddies are rich because we, U.S. citizens, pay for oil. Our economy requires oil. There is no other way. We can't just stop. It's too late now to just say, "get out of the middle-east, and stop fighting over oil!" We don't have that option over night.
Like everyone else in the world, I have a circle of friends. Most of them are what I call "liberal." They hate Bush, they hate the fight in Iraq. They think we should just get out of Israel, and the middle-east. Among my circle of friends are two conservatives (myself included), and 9 liberals. Yes, we're outnumbered. The two of us conservatives hate the war. It's an abominable waste of human life. To the liberals, it's a waste of money, oh, and life too. But, mostly it's the money. See, the war is extremely expensive, and we're so badly in debt. Getting out of that war will solve the national debt problem. Or, at least it will help.
That is a lie, and I cannot believe how many people fall for that lie. If we leave now, or ever from the most oil rich area in the world our country will collapse. It will just cease to exist as a "super power." We will be economically defenseless, which will make the debt now seem like a penny in a wishing well.
Will you give up your car? Will you ration your electricity usage? No, you can't ration your car, you have to get rid of it. What?! Your job is 30 miles away from where you live? Well, better get packing. What about this electricity rationing thing? Not really necessary, since we're pretty self-sufficient in that area. We primarily use coal mined right inside our own country. Another good chunk of electricity is produced by nuclear power plants.
If you really want us to get out of the Middle East then stop driving NOW. All of you. As soon as all of that demand for oil goes away, it will no longer be interesting to lobbyists. They'll go to where there is money to be made. Which, if you give up your car, will probably be alternative fuels, or public transportation.
Very few people would give up their cars, at least in the short term. The majority of people have to ease their way into it. There are so many reasons why. It's hard to give up freedoms, for one. Then there is the issue of the commute to work. So many people live in the suburbs, and a 30 to 40 mile commute is normal. But they'll have to live much closer without oil. It takes time to move. It'll take even more time if millions, and millions of families have to move.
Do you really think that everyone can move near their jobs? It's ludicrous.
The Real Solution
For now, oil is it. We have to secure our stake in what's left of the world's oil until we can wean ourselves off of it. The real solution is American ingenuity. Someone, somewhere will invent a new fuel. By invent, I mean they'll discover how to cheaply make an alternative to oil. Hyrdogen is promising, but we need a major breakthrough in producing it. Sure, it's easy, but to go 30 miles on hydrogen will cost you 8 times more than gasoline. We're just not there yet.
We have to change our mindset about the "American Dream." Right now, that dream includes multiple gas guzzling cars. Very few cars are fuel efficient, simply because they require gasoline. And that gasoline comes from oil that comes from some of the most unstable regimes on the planet. How is that for irony? The absolute cheapest energy source is controlled by some of the craziest fools on the earth. How wonderful.
For now, we're stuck there. We cannot afford to have this country collapse because a bunch of idealistic morons think we should be friends with everyone. It's not religion that starts and maintains wars... It's oil.
Never Forget
Did I forget what I was talking about? What does all of this have to do with 9/11? Lots. We're hated because we defend our way of life. And the morons in charge of the oil mistreat their own people. It is our wealth that funds these crooked oil maggots. We're hated because our way of life demands cheap oil that earns middle-eastern people very little money. It funds regimes that abuse their people.
We forgot that we were attacked because we are free, and we have choices. We should defend that. We should bury the animals that did it to us. We cannot let them win. The world cannot afford for them to win. And, frankly, our country is the only country that has the brass balls to deal with those animals. The world is already filled with a bunch of wuss governments that think they'll win through appeasement. On that day that they're toppled from the inside... that's the day we'll finally remember 9/11. Because, you see, we're next...
Never forget 9/11. Get as pissed off now as you were then. Buy our geniuses some time to find an alternative. Once we have that alternative, WE will be in charge of our own destinies. And we won't have to bicker over oil anymore. In the mean time, hold strong, work hard, think hard, and let's find that alternative. Donate money to researchers, donate time. We have a war to fight too so that those who are fighting the wars overseas can come home, and never have to go out again.
God bless the U.S.A.
